BUSINESS ENERGY. ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE.

Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to access our information, compare business energy and contact our team. If something gets in your way, please tell us.

This statement explains our accessibility aims, how to ask for support and how to report a problem with our website.

1. Our commitment

Save Energy Cost Ltd aims to make its website accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.

Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, Level AA . These guidelines help make websites easier to perceive, navigate, understand and use.

We welcome feedback about barriers and will consider reasonable adjustments to help people access our services.

2. Adjusting your browsing experience

Your browser, device and assistive technology may offer settings that make websites easier to use. These can include:

  • Increasing text size or zooming into a page.
  • Changing colours, contrast or preferred fonts.
  • Using a keyboard instead of a mouse.
  • Reading content with a screen reader such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver or TalkBack.
  • Using speech recognition or voice controls.
  • Reducing animations through your device settings.

We aim to support these ways of using our website. If a setting or assistive technology prevents you from completing a task, please contact us.

3. Current accessibility status

We have not yet established this website’s conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA through a completed accessibility assessment. We therefore do not currently claim full or partial conformance.

Some accessibility barriers may be present. This statement will be updated as assessment findings and improvement plans are confirmed.

Areas for assessment

The following are priorities for review. They are not a list of confirmed audit findings.

Accessibility review priorities
Area What needs to be checked
Images and icons Useful alternative text for informative images and appropriate handling of decorative images.
Colours and contrast Readability of text, links, buttons, form controls and focus indicators.
Keyboard navigation Access to menus, tabs, buttons, forms and other interactive features without a mouse.
Forms and bill uploads Clear labels, accessible upload controls, understandable errors and progress messages.
Mobile layout and zoom Content reflow, readable text and usable controls at different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Animation and moving content Controls for moving content and support for reduced-motion preferences.
Documents and external tools Accessibility of downloadable documents and third-party features used in customer journeys.

Third-party content and older documents

Some services or content may be supplied by third parties, and our ability to change them directly may be limited. This does not automatically make them exempt from accessibility considerations.

If an embedded service, older document or archived page creates a barrier, tell us. We will consider how to help you access the information or complete the task another way.

4. Alternative formats and support

If you cannot access information on our website, contact us and explain the format or adjustment you need.

We will discuss a suitable alternative with you. Depending on the information and your needs, this might include plain text, a more accessible electronic document, larger text or an explanation by email.

If you need another format or communication method, please ask. We will explain what we can arrange and the expected timescale.

7. Technical information

Our design target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We aim to support current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile devices.

The website uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript. WAI-ARIA attributes may be used to communicate the purpose and state of interactive controls to assistive technology.

Browser and assistive technology compatibility needs to be assessed as part of accessibility testing. These design aims are not a guarantee that every combination has been tested.

8. Preparation and testing

This statement was prepared on .

A completed accessibility audit, testing date and verified results have not yet been recorded in this statement. We will update this section when those details are available.

Assessment should combine automated checks with manual testing, including keyboard navigation, zoom and reflow, screen-reader use and important customer journeys such as forms and bill uploads.

Automated scores alone cannot establish whether the whole website meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

9. Our improvement priorities

Our accessibility priorities are to:

  • Assess important pages and customer journeys against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
  • Identify and prioritise barriers that prevent people from accessing information or completing tasks.
  • Improve the accessibility of forms, documents, navigation and interactive features.
  • Include accessibility checks when adding or changing content.
  • Consider feedback from disabled users and people using assistive technology.
  • Update this statement with confirmed findings and improvement timescales.
